Overview

Willow weaving is a traditional craft that involves using flexible, natural willow rods to create functional and decorative items such as baskets, sculptures and garden structures.

On this two-day course, you will spend a creative and hands-on weekend learning this heritage skill, while designing and making your own unique asymmetric basket. This workshop introduces core basketry techniques in a relaxed, supportive environment, allowing you to explore both structure and artistic expression. By the end of the weekend, you’ll leave with a finished basket and the foundational skills to continue weaving independently.
