Curious about crochet but not sure where to start? Our Introduction to Crochet half-day workshop is the perfect entry point for complete beginners! In this fun, sociable, and relaxing session, you’ll learn the essential skills to begin your crochet journey and discover just how creative and calming this timeless craft can be.
During the workshop, you’ll be introduced to the basic stitches—such as chain stitch, double crochet, and treble crochet—and learn how to read a simple pattern. With plenty of hands-on practice, friendly guidance, and a supportive environment, you’ll be well on your way to creating your first crochet piece.

All materials will be provided, although please do bring your own crochet hook if you have one and any yarn you would specifically like to use.
By the end of the session, you’ll leave with the skills and confidence to continue crocheting at home—and maybe even a new hobby to love! If there is sufficient demand, we may offer further crochet workshops. You may also consider enrolling onto one of our other sewing, textiles and fabric courses.
