In this course, you will embark on a thoughtful exploration of your life's experiences, memories, and the unique narrative that only you can share. Whether you're a seasoned writer or new to the craft, our aim is to provide you with the tools, techniques, and encouragement to craft a memoir that captures the essence of your life's journey.
Our friendly and supportive environment is designed to nurture your creativity and foster a sense of community among fellow writers. Together, you will navigate the complexities of memory, emotion, and narrative, weaving them into a tapestry of personal history that is as unique as you are.
Each session will cover a different aspect of writing, through a variety of exercises. You will be encountering a range of different approaches to autobiography, journal, and diary writing, which will enable you to develop your own style. Optional weekly tasks will be given, and sharing your work in a supportive and positive way will be offered.
Please note that there will be no class on 11.02.2026 or during half term w/c 16.02.26.
None at all, just the enjoyment of reading and writing, and curiosity.
Please bring paper and pens, or a laptop / word processor if preferred.
This course will increase your confidence as a writer. You will gain self-awareness and self-development. You could progress with additional Creative Writing Leisure courses or to formal studies in English, Communication Studies, and Journalism.
Opens: 03/11/25 11:00.
This course is currently closed for enrolments. In order to enrol, you will need to have a verified account.
