Overview

This course is for adults who can express themselves well in Italian, using a good range of vocabulary and tenses, including the present subjunctive.  In this course you will expand your vocabulary and grammar, using all four language skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing) on practical topics to enable you to improve your Italian communication skills.

Homework is given on a weekly basis. To benefit most from the course, you will be encouraged to read the materials used during lessons and refer to the course book.

What Will I Study?

We will be revising and consolidating the vocabulary and the grammatical structures learned in the previous years.  You will practise all four skills (reading, writing, speaking and listening) but in class we will focus more on listening and speaking (reading and writing will be the basis of the homework).

Throughout this course you will:

  • Learn to talk more fluently and accurately and express opinions
  • Listen to a wider range of materials suitable for your level and talk about it in class
  • Read a variety of texts, write about them and translate from and into Italian
  • Write essays and translate texts into Italian
