This 10-week Greek Conversation course is designed for advanced learners who want to improve their fluency and confidence in speaking Greek. It focuses on real-life communication, helping learners develop more natural, fluent, and confident speaking in everyday situations.
What Will I Study?
In this course, you will:
Take part in discussions about identity, family, and everyday life
Describe people, animals, and their characteristics
Talk about where you live and different types of accommodation
Compare life in the city and the countryside
Discuss everyday topics such as shopping and daily routines
Express opinions and respond to others in conversation
Develop fluency and confidence through extended speaking activities
Entry Requirements
Students wishing to join this course should have an intermediate to upper-intermediate level of Greek (approximately B1 or above). Learners should be able to:
Communicate confidently in everyday situations
Express opinions and respond to others in conversation
Talk about past, present, and future events
Describe people, places, and experiences
Understand and participate in extended conversations
Use basic grammatical structures (e.g. tenses and common sentence patterns) with reasonable accuracy

Materials
You may need to purchase a textbook, which will be discussed in the first session. You will need to bring a pen and paper for note-taking.
Progression
Upon completion of this 10-week course, learners will have the opportunity to continue to Greek Conversation – Part 2 (10 weeks), subject to sufficient demand. This follow-on course will allow students to build on their fluency, develop greater confidence, and take part in more complex and natural conversations in Greek.
