The NCFE Level 3 Award in Education and Training (formerly PTLLS), is an introductory qualification that will confer a threshold license to teach. There are no teaching hours required for this course. It is ideal for anyone who would like an introduction to teaching in post-compulsory education and training.
Students will study the theory and practice of learning, taking part in group work and discussions, in addition to carrying out presentations and a micro-teac. There will be at least 1-2 hours study required each week outside of assignments, research, and reading.
Please note that this course is delivered through a blended learning model. There will be three in-person sessions held on Tuesdays from 6:30pm–9:30pm on 2 June, 7 July, and 1 September.
Outside of these sessions, learners will complete online learning and access course content in their own time. Resources and materials will be available throughout the course, with online tutor support provided. Learners can work through the weekly activities at a pace that suits them.
Please note that, depending on enrolment numbers, additional in-person sessions may be scheduled in September. All in-person sessions will take place at at the Adult & Higher Education Campus on Stoney Lane.
