Salary in the range £28,125 - £44,256 pa pro rata
Peter Symonds is located in Winchester. It is a vibrant sixth form college which has been rated by Ofsted as ‘outstanding’ in every respect. The Study Support Department comprises an unusually large team of dedicated and professional staff, committed to the support of students with a wide range of specific learning differences. It has a very strong reputation, both within and outside the College, for the quality of its work. This is a rare opportunity for a qualified teacher to join the team as a specialist SpLD Teacher/Assessor. You must have a teaching qualification and hold either a current Specific Learning Differences (SpLD) Assessment Practising Certificate or a post-graduate qualification [level 7] in individual assessment. Experience in supporting students with SpLDs in the post 16 sector, particularly assessing under JCQ regulations, is highly desirable.
You must hold, or be working towards, a level 5 SpLD teaching qualification. You will work three days, with the actual days and working times to be discussed and agreed at interview.
