Back in the Salon: Level 2 Beauty Students Tackle Their First Pedicures!
We are so happy to have our students back on campus, and they’ve already made a brilliant start to the new term. Our Level 2 Beauty Therapy cohort didn't waste any time getting stuck in - they’ve just successfully completed their very first pedicure practical!
They are studying for the VTCT Level 2 Beauty Specialist qualification, which gives them a complete foundation in the industry. Over the year, they'll learn a full range of practical treatments, including facials, waxing, lash and brow shaping, manicures, and pedicures. Crucially, they also cover the theory side of the trade, from health and safety to anatomy and physiology. It’s a busy course, but it opens doors to amazing careers in high-street salons, luxury spas, cruise ships, or even the opportunity to run their own business.
Right now, the students are honing their skills by practicing on each other in class. Once they’ve built up their confidence, they will start offering reduced-cost treatments to the public in our training salons. Booking an appointment with them is a win-win: you get a treatment for a fraction of the usual price, and our students get the real-world client experience they need to qualify.
