Information About The Post
Peter Symonds is a vibrant sixth form college in Winchester which has been rated by Ofsted as ‘outstanding’ in every respect. We have a large team of committed and talented staff who are at the heart of the success of the College.
This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an outstanding teacher to join our College as Head of English Literature and develop and secure the best outcomes for our students. The subject area of English is really thriving across the A levels of English Literature, English Language and English Language and Literature. Each course has its own Head of Subject who collaborate closely, creating a most stimulating and satisfying workplace.
You will be a graduate of English Literature or a closely allied subject and an experienced teacher in this or a related subject. You will have an enthusiastic approach and a commitment to continuing the high standards in the subject area. You will be able to demonstrate the impact of successful leadership in raising student attainment in your current role and will be joining a supportive team who look to drive standards across the College.
