Dr Khadijeh Masty was appointed as a governor in 2024. She brings a wealth of experience to the role as a Lecturer in Law, with teaching experience at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Her teaching and research spans a variety of subject areas, including Land Law, Intellectual Property Law, Medical Law, Immigration Law & Policy, and Human Rights Law. Khadijeh is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and holds a postgraduate certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education. Beyond her teaching and research, she serves as the Programme Leader for the LLM Law (Conversion) course, and acts as a mentor and reviewer for the CASTLE programme (Celebration and Accreditation scheme for Teaching and Learning Expertise). She also serves on the Health and Safety Committee and co-chairs the Staff Race Equality Network at her institution. Khadijeh is also a poet, having published a poetry book in her native language. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, playing music, and practising yoga. Khadijeh is link governor for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
