Rob has an extensive career in education and was awarded a CBE for services to education in 2014 and accredited as a National Leader of Education in 2008. He was the Head teacher of Thornden School, a large successful local feeder school, from 1993 to 2016 and during that time was involved in providing support for other schools, advice for Governors and mentoring Headteachers. Following retirement as Headteacher, Rob continues to work part-time as part of LEARN, a teaching school alliance established and led by Thornden School. Rob is a member of the Curriculum & Quality Committee.
