Information About The Post

We have a thriving Adult & Higher Education Division delivering courses including leisure, employability, vocational, access and higher education – the last having received the Teaching Excellence Framework Silver award for HE. The Division is run from our Stoney Lane site in Winchester and we seek a new Business Manager who reports to the Director and manages two staff. It is a broad and varied role in which no two days are the same. Supported by specialists on our other site, the Business Manager handles a range of issues including: HR; organising training and development; payroll and pensions; financial and audit; buildings and cleaning; health and safety; data protection; acting as a Designated Safeguarding Lead in the absence of the Director.

The successful candidate will be highly organised, an experienced administrator with management experience. Ideally you will have a payroll, accounting, or business qualification and a background in this type of work. Work experience in education would also be an advantage but is not essential. You will be an excellent communicator who is able to work under pressure and ‘think on your feet’.

We are dedicated to safeguarding the students in our care. To that end, a Disclosure and Barring Service enhanced disclosure will be required in the event of an individual being offered a position within our College. Our staff undertake regular safeguarding training and are subject to ongoing safeguarding scrutiny.
