Teachers of Sociology
Due to growth in the area, we seek additional Teachers of Sociology to work full or part time.
The details for this post are as follows:
Information About The Post
There are over 500 students studying Sociology, following an AQA specification. It is a thriving department in which teachers work collaboratively within their team and in the wider Faculty. We now seek additional staff due to growth in the area.
The successful candidates will be graduates of Sociology or of a closely allied subject, familiar with contemporary issues in the teaching of Sociology and able to share their enthusiasm for the subject with their students.
We welcome applications from both newly qualified and experienced teachers, to work either full or part time. We are also looking for teachers in the other growth areas of Criminology, Psychology and Law, planning to interview candidates for all of these subjects on one of two days: 11 and 12 March 2020. Please make it clear in your application whether you wish to be considered for any other subjects in addition to Sociology and if you wish to work full or part time.
Please note that posts advertised to start in September 2020 actually commence with student enrolment on Tuesday 25 August 2020. Teaching staff are required to work this week but should you have an existing commitment please make this clear on your application and we will honour it.
We are dedicated to safeguarding the students in our care. To that end, a Disclosure and Barring Service enhanced disclosure will be required in the event of an individual being offered a position within our College. Our staff undertake regular safeguarding training and are subject to ongoing safeguarding scrutiny.
