Information About The Post

We have a very busy Catering Department with several cafes and a shop. This is a rare opportunity to work term time but with significant hours (9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday). Duties include receiving, checking and moving goods, goods storage, rotation and ordering. You will also be required to help maintain kitchen cleanliness, assisting with cleaning areas as required, doing washing up, using and maintaining the dishwasher. You will work as part of a busy team but also be out and about around the campus.

No particular experience is required, just enthusiasm, flexibility and the ability to do the job. You must be physically fit to move significant amounts of supplies within the stores and across the campus. You will be provided with a uniform and with all necessary training, including the potential to undertake NVQs. Other benefits include membership of a pension scheme. We are close to the station and have free staff parking.

We are dedicated to safeguarding the students in our care. To that end, a Disclosure and Barring Service enhanced disclosure will be required in the event of an individual being offered a position within our College. Our staff undertake regular safeguarding training and are subject to ongoing safeguarding scrutiny.
