Information About The Post

Standards of music provision at the College are exceptionally high and the extra-curricular programme is outstanding. We have about 75 students studying A level Music and are home to the Hampshire Specialist Music Course, a gifted and talented programme which includes coaching in chamber music. Many of our students go on to study at the country’s most competitive conservatoires and universities.

We have a vacancy for a Teacher of Music, with a particular focus on composition, to join the team on a part time basis (a minimum of six sessions or 0.2308 FTE).

We would also advise you that posts advertised to start in September 2019 actually commence with student enrolment on Tuesday 27 August 2019. Teaching staff are required to work this week but should you have an existing commitment please make this clear on your application and we will honour it.
