Teacher of Sport & PE
A rare opportunity for a part time Teacher to join the team.
The details for this post are as follows:
Information About The Post
The Sport & PE department has five dedicated classrooms as well as a fitness suite and other sporting facilities. More than 300 students study A level PE or BTEC Sport, achieving impressive results. Sport has a high profile across the wider College, with participation in an exceptionally wide range of disciplines and success at county, regional and national levels.
This is a rare opportunity for a part time teacher to join the team, with hours expected to be 21 sessions a week inclusive of tutor responsibility, just over 0.8 FTE. You will work on aspects of both A level and BTEC as well as contributing to the Activities Programme by managing a sporting team. You will be a graduate of Sport/PE or a closely allied subject, with an enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning. We welcome applications from both experienced and newly qualified teachers.
We would also advise you that posts advertised to start in September 2019 actually commence with student enrolment on Tuesday 27 August 2019. Teaching staff are required to work this week but should you have an existing commitment please make this clear on your application and we will honour it.
We are dedicated to safeguarding the students in our care. To that end, a Disclosure and Barring Service enhanced disclosure will be required in the event of an individual being offered a position within our College. Our staff undertake regular safeguarding training and are subject to ongoing safeguarding scrutiny.
