Information About The Post

There are over 500 students studying Sociology, following an AQA specification. It is a thriving department in which teachers work collaboratively within their team and in the wider Faculty.

The successful candidates will be graduates of Sociology or of a closely allied subject, familiar with contemporary issues in the teaching of Sociology and able to share their enthusiasm for the subject with their students.

We welcome applications from both newly qualified and experienced teachers, to work either full or part time. As we also have a requirement for Criminology staff, please indicated if you are interested in teaching both subjects.

Please note that jobs advertised to start in September actually begin on 27 August 2019. However, if you have a commitment at that time, please apply as we will aim to accommodate your requirements.

We are dedicated to safeguarding the students in our care. To that end, a Disclosure and Barring Service enhanced disclosure will be required in the event of an individual being offered a position within our College. Our staff undertake regular safeguarding training and are subject to ongoing safeguarding scrutiny.
