Information About The Post

Psychology is a thriving subject, with over 700 students studying at A level. There are currently twelve teaching staff, both full and part time, delivering the AQA specification. This is a rare opportunity to lead such a high profile department. In addition to the management salary, you will have five sessions a week remission from a full time contract.

The successful applicant will have a degree in Psychology or a closely allied subject, with experience of teaching the subject at A level. You will have strong communication and leadership skills, being committed to maintaining and developing the excellent practice in the area.

We would also advise you that posts advertised to start in September 2019 actually commence with student enrolment on Tuesday 27 August 2019. Teaching staff are required to work this week but should you have an existing commitment please make this clear on your application and we will honour it.

We are dedicated to safeguarding the students in our care. To that end, a Disclosure and Barring Service enhanced disclosure will be required in the event of an individual being offered a position within our College. Our staff undertake regular safeguarding training and are subject to ongoing safeguarding scrutiny.
