Student Support

The College has an excellent reputation for looking after its students.

Our College motto is "Counting in Ones". Even though we are a large College we have a pastoral system which values and encourages each individual. We place great emphasis on guiding each student personally and academically.

Our comprehensive network of support lies behind much of the success of our students, whatever their learning goals. This takes many forms – such as lunchtime and study skills workshops – depending on individual need, and every student is assigned a personal tutor to provide guidance and support through their chosen programme of study.

Tutor groups are between 20-23 students, our teaching groups are an average size of 21 students in the Lower sixth and 19 students in the Upper Sixth. Activities groups are often much smaller. In this way you are able to make a variety of friends and are known well by a number of teachers.
