A CELEBRATION OF SPORTING ACHIEVEMENTS AT PETER SYMONDS COLLEGE

What a brilliant few weeks for our Peter Symonds sports men and women!

Firstly, Men's 1st Football beat Farnborough 3 - 2 (Goal scorers: Harry Bayles x2, Jay Bugg. Man of the Match: Ben Moore), which means they have now finished top of the Hampshire League for the second season running.

Men's Hockey beat Exeter 3 - 2 (goal scorers: Isaac Hocking x2, Harry Talks. Man of the Match: George Hoarton); Women's Hockey beat Hereford 5 - 0 (goal scorers: Mia Hamblin x2, Pip Stewart, Becca Kettley, Issy Stringfellow. Player of the Match: Emily Williams) and our Netball 1st team beat Exeter 60 - 66 (player of the match: Lydia Kearney). A couple of weeks ago the Mixed Volleyball team beat Wyggeston and Queen Elizabeth 3 – 0 too. A excellent achievement for all four teams who now go on to play in their respective AoC National Cup Finals in Nottingham next month (April).

Additionally, Women's Squash also won silver medals at the U19 National Trophy Finals in Manchester and Men's Squash came 8th.

A huge well done to all of those involved and we’ll keep our fingers crossed for the AoC National Cup Finals in April!
