Information About The Job

The Web Services team is key to the success of the College, providing solutions to students, staff and other users. The services of the team are highly valued and the College is investing in further capacity by creating this new role. You will be joining a small team which will give you an unusually wide breadth of experience and daily contact with users. You will work with colleagues to develop new web-based applications and to improve existing ones. You will support users and respond to queries online but also in person, experience which will assist you in producing documentation and user guides. You will be educated to degree level in a computing subject or have experience in a similar role.

Strong PHP skills are essential along with an understanding of other web development technologies such as Javascript. You will also need to be well organised and to enjoy interacting with users to help identify the source of problems and find solutions.
