Biology StudentsPeter Symonds College will be holding open evenings between 6.00pm and 9.00pm on:

  • Wednesday 18th October
  • Thursday 19th October

The staff and students at Peter Symonds invite prospective students to join us on the above evenings to find out more about the College.

Please join us to:

  • chat to our staff and students about life at Peter Symonds
  • pick up more information about the huge range of subjects we offer
  • listen to the Principal's Presentation
  • explore the campus and our excellent facilities, including our study facilities in the Ashurst Learning Resource Centre and Hopkins Study Centre

You will be given a programme when you arrive on campus by one of our student guides or you will be able to visit one of the Information Points to pick up a prospectus and an Open Evening Programme.


Hot and cold drinks and snacks are available all evening in Varley Cafe and the Paul Woodhouse Café.


Due to the popularity of the open evenings and the surrounding residential roads effectively being single-lane, we strongly advise visitors to use public transport and public car parks.

A FREE Park & Ride service to the college will operate from South Winchester Park and Ride (just off M3 at Jct 11, SO21 2FG) from 5.30 p.m.

A FREE Shuttle bus from the Worthy Lane car park (off Andover Road, SO23 7AB). Free car parking here, and at other city centre car parks, from. 6.00 p.m.

  • Final departure time from the car parks to the college: 8.00 p.m.
  • Final departure time from the college to the car parks: 9.00 p.m.

Accessible parking spaces are available on the college campus. Please call admissions on 01962 857555 if you will require assistance.

There is the Worthy Lane car park and the public car park in front of the Winchester Hotel. These car parks are free after 6.00 p.m. and next to each other. They are both a five minute walk to college. We will be operating a free shuttle bus from the Worthy Lane car park as well. In addition, there are other public car parks at the Railway Station and in Tower Street which are very close to the college.
