CAREERS GUIDANCE AND EVENTS
Careers education and guidance is a high priority at Peter Symonds and the College employs its own professional careers advisers, as well as having visiting careers advisers from the Winchester Youth Support Service.
The Careers Library
The College has a large, well stocked Careers Library, located on the ground floor of the Ashurst Building.It holds higher and further education prospectuses and a very wide range of publications concerned with course choice, in addition to careers, employment and gap year Information.
The Careers Library is open from 8.35am to 4.35pm in term time. It is also open in the summer holidays from Results Day in August.
The aim is to provide all our students with the information, guidance, advice and support to enable them to achieve their goals in the changing world of work and further learning. The team is committed to ensuring impartiality and equal opportunities in the delivery of all their services.
The quality of our service has been recognised by achieving the Investor in Careers quality award in 2008 and gaining re-accreditation in 2011. We are committed to continuously improving and developing our service to students and actively seek students views and feedback.
