Information About The Job

We seek to recruit someone to join our Student Services Department which provides a comprehensive customer support and welfare service to our full time students aged 16-19. This is a long-term temporary post related to a maternity absence. Duties include acting as an initial point of contact for students with queries or who may need emotional support. There is a range of administrative work and you will also work with external agencies to run health awareness events and provide health information.

The successful candidate will have a good level of education and of IT skills. You will enjoy working with this age group and ideally have experience in a similar setting, perhaps in a welfare, advisory or teaching role.

Hours are 18 per week and are likely to be Tuesdays (10 am to 2 pm), Wednesdays (10 am to 4.30 pm with 30 minutes lunch) and Thursdays (8.30 am to 5 pm with 30 minutes lunch). 39 weeks a year. 0.4086 FTE.

The current post holder is covering for someone else who will be on maternity leave and will return to her post when the mother returns to work. If the mother does not return then the post holder still has the right to return to this post.
